New Atheist Logic: The existence of evil disproves the existence of God

I can argue all day about what is considered morality without a deity, although it does not help the religious case. I would struggle to see anyone witness abuse of any kind and walk on by, regardless of belief.

The existence of evil does not disprove the existence of God, it simply makes God unworthy of worship. If a moral God can exist in this universe so can an immoral one… we do not need to worship God because he is there.

  • The existence of evil is incompatible with the typical definition of god as “omnipotent, omniscient and benevolent.” Since bad things happen to good people, then one of the parts of their definition must be wrong.
