An atheist insight into blogging in Bangladesh

It is difficult to imagine needing to take such precautionary measures between leaving the house and going to work, when your hobby is writing about science.

Asif Mohiuddin is far too familiar with this after his friend Ananda Bijoy Das was hacked to death for blogging. Here Asif tells DW what life is like for an atheist blogger in Bangladesh. He also tells of how the government reacts to such news.

This is the ninth murder of it’s kind since 2013. No one should assume death is appropriate retaliation to freethinking.
